Responsible exploration
Follow local laws, access restrictions, conservation guidance, and instructions from site staff. Never climb, remove, mark, or damage archaeological remains. Map and editorial information is provided for general guidance and is not a substitute for official travel or safety advice.
Community contributions
You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Ancient Cities Guide a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, display, resize, and distribute it as needed to operate and promote the service. Only upload material you have the right to share.
Prohibited activity
Do not post illegal, hateful, misleading, harassing, infringing, or privacy-violating content; manipulate visits or leaderboard scores; scrape the service in a harmful manner; probe security; or interfere with other users.
Moderation
We may review, restrict, or remove accounts and contributions that violate these terms, threaten archaeological sites, or create legal or safety risks. Leaderboard entries may be adjusted when a visit cannot be verified.
Accuracy and availability
Historical research evolves and user contributions may contain errors. We aim to correct mistakes, but do not guarantee that all content is complete, current, or suitable for a particular journey. The service may change or be temporarily unavailable.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Ancient Cities Guide is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect loss arising from use of the service, travel decisions, or third-party services.
